What is a Disease?
A Disease is an illness in the bodies of organisms such as humans, animals and plants. It changes the normal functioning of the body and damages its organs. Diseases interfere with our bodies and create a reaction. When a disease enters the body, the body creates signs and symptoms to demonstrate that something is not right. Diseases can cause injuries, disabilities, infections, syndromes and death. A disease affects a particular part of the body and this is the area which gets major problems. There are many different types of diseases, and they are classified into groups. The groups are: Genetic Diseases, Infectious Diseases and Non- Infectious Diseases. In each of these groups there are many serious diseases which effect peoples lives. Although some diseases are incurable, there are some that can be cured by undertaking medical treatment which will allow the disease to go away. This is not always the case because most diseases don’t have a cure.
